Martin Cherry has been shooting photojournalism for over eight years. While studying in Photography at Shepherd University, he photographed for the school newspaper in his sophomore year. While shooting the photojournalistic style, Martin Cherry expanded his photographic style by studying fashion photography, film as art and graphic design. Also in college, Martin Cherry interned at the National Park Service.
Before graduating, Cherry landed a position to work at The Journal Newspaper in Martinsburg, West Virginia. There he excelled by winning several awards from the West Virginia Press Association.
Currently, Martin Cherry resides in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee where he freelances for local and national publications.
